Introduction of excavator sliding arm
A sliding arm, also called a telescopic arm or extendable arm, is a hydraulic arm attached to an excavator. It is designed to increase the excavator's working range and versatility by allowing the arm to extend and retract. The sliding arm is installed at the end of the excavator arm and consists of a hydraulic cylinder that can be extended and retracted to adjust the length of the arm.
The upper part of the excavator sliding arm has a cylinder assembly and a piston rod. The cylinder assembly is mounted to the fixed body and the piston rod is connected to the movable sliding body. When the cylinder assembly is pressurized, the piston rod extends, pushing the movable sliding body away from the fixed body.
The lower part of the excavator sliding arm is composed of a box frame, a bottom plate, and a guide rail. The box frame is fixed on the bottom plate, and the guide rails are installed on the box frame. A pair of rollers running along the track are installed on the movable sliding body so that it can slide along the track and move in different directions.
